Dr.Zhang is the co-founder of Innofidei, pioneer of CMMB (China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting) business in China and world leading IC and system solutions provider. He is an expert in digital multimedia chip design and at the same time a proven entrepreneur with successful venture experience. Prior to his venture in Innofidei, he was the co-Founder of Vimicro, a Nasdaq listed Chinese company focusing on multimedia chip design. Dr.Zhang received his PhD degree in EE in University of California, Berkeley, USA and BS degree in University of Science & Technology, China.

Miscellaneous honors Dr.Zhang received includes ¡°National Science and Technology Advancement Award¡± by President Hu Jintao, ¡°Distinguished Engineering Alumni¡± by University of California, Berkeley, ¡°the Outstanding Youth in Software Industry¡± by All-China Youth Federation, "Talent in Science, Technology and Management with Outstanding Contribution" and ¡°The Top 10 Outstanding Youths in 2009¡± by Beijing municipal government. He is also the Secretary-General of Mobile Multimedia Technology Alliance formed jointly by government department, all telecom operators and major telecom device manufacturers in China.
